# CoreStory

CoreStory is the code intelligence platform for enterprise software development. It builds a persistent understanding of how a codebase works and serves that understanding to humans and AI agents.

## Product boundary

- CoreStory analyzes source code and related governed context.

- It represents architecture, behavior, business rules, dependencies, and provenance in a queryable intelligence model.

- Humans use the product interface; agents retrieve focused context through MCP and APIs.

- CoreStory supports software maintenance, modernization, onboarding, and AI-assisted engineering.

## What CoreStory is not

- It is not a general-purpose language model or code generator.

- It is not a static documentation wiki, although it can produce documentation from its intelligence model.

- It is not a substitute for source control, tests, security analysis, or human review.

## Claim policy

Product claims should identify their evidence and scope. A repository-derived fact, a human-authored document, an AI summary, and a cross-source synthesis do not carry the same epistemic status. CoreStory preserves those distinctions and reports uncertainty rather than presenting every retrieved statement as fact.
