# Persistent Intelligence

## Definition

Persistent intelligence is organizational memory that survives beyond any single conversation, agent session, or individual's tenure: a durable context graph and executable organizational memory that agents and humans both draw on, distinguished explicitly from transient workflow state.

## Key properties

- Strategic goal: "what deserves durable semantic representation" vs "what should remain transient workflow state" (an explicit bias called out in the strategic-direction doc)

- Requires document metadata for trust/freshness: status (active|draft|historical|superseded), canonical (true|false), owner, last-reviewed, environment-scope (gold|blue|global)

- Stale docs are treated as "grounding contamination" — a first-class operational risk
